McCord Park in Little Elm Tx including 18 Hole Disc Golf

Little Elm Community Park  - McCord Park

Get out and enjoy nature!! WIth an easy to find location and great amenities, McCord park in Little Elm is poised to set the tone for other parks. The 38-acre public park located along FM 423 and Cottonwood Creek was given to the community by developers. It is comprised of acres of open space, and fantastic tree cover. It is the third community park and the first on the east side of Little Elm.

The public park will include bike and hike trails, fishing dock, picnic areas, playgrounds and an 18 hole disc golf course. World renown disc golf course designer, John Houck, designed this unique course.

McCord Park will also be the home of the first LED digital marquee sign along FM 423, and the Town's 6th. Currently, McCord park is in the final building stages and should be completed by late 2013.

The park has big plans to expand and eventually connect to Witt Road as well as the possibility to contain Little Elm's first dog park. Through creative planning and zoning, McCord Park was donated to the Town and constructed by the developers of the luxury multi-family projects adjacent to it.  The total value of the land and park improvements (all of which was paid for by the developer) is estimated to be over 5 million dollars.

McCord park also offers a crucial connection point to Frisco's trail system. Future plans include a westward trail along Lewisville Lake that will connect to a Lakefront district.
